K-State has a limited number of competitive scholarships for future engineering students. All incoming first-year students may apply to be considered for these awards by filling out the competitive scholarship application by Dec. 15. Scholarships are based on academics, leadership, involvement and community service.

A transfer undergraduate student is someone who has enrolled at another institution since graduating from high school.

Engineering transfer scholarships are based on academic performance and completed courses provided on the official transcript(s) to K-State. Engineering transfer scholarships are available to transfer undergraduate students who have met all application and qualification requirements and have applied by the priority application date. Engineering transfer scholarships will be awarded after a transfer student has:

1. Been admitted to Kansas State University by the priority deadline.
2. Been admitted to the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering.
3. Completed the final semester PartyCasinoat a transfer institution.
4. Submitted final transfer transcript(s) to K-State.
   • Fall/summer start terms – by June 15
   • Spring start terms – by Jan. 15
5. Enrolled in a Carl R. Ice College of Engineering undergraduate degree program prior to the start of the student’s first semester at K-State.

Renewable transfer engineering scholarships

Renewable college scholarships may be awarded to in-state and out-of-state transfer undergraduate students who have met all application and qualification requirements. These awards are in addition to any university scholarships or awards a student may receive.

Renewable college and degree program scholarships may be awarded to in-state and out-of-state students who have met all application and qualification requirements.

Engineering first-generation-to-college student award

A first-generation college student is defined as someone whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have partycasino uk reviewnot completed more than two years of education beyond high school nor completed a post-secondary degree. Those meeting the criteria can apply to be considered for an engineering first-generation-to-college award after completing 24 credit hours of coursework toward a K-State engineering degree.

Carl R. Ice College of Engineering scholarships of up to $3,000 annually are available for returning students. To be eligible for these scholarships, current students must update and complete their K-State Scholarship Network application by March 1. Please be as thorough as possible in your application.

Students with financial need must also have their FAFSA updated each year by Dec. 1 and include a brief financial need statement on their K-State Scholarship Network application.

Education Abroad scholarship

The college strongly advocates international experience for its undergraduate students. A limited number of $250 to $1,000 grants are available for those enrolled in the Carl R. The National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME) awards scholarships annually to underrepresented minority (URM) students. K-State engineering awards 12 scholarships annually from the NACME block grant.

Founded in 1975, NSBE supports and promotes the aspirations of collegiate and pre-collegiate students in engineering and technology. K-State engineering has a NSBE student chapter.

Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)

Formed in 1974, SHPE is the largest association in the nation for Hispanics in STEM. SHPE’s mission is “to change lives by empowering the Hispanic community to realize its fullest potential and partycasino reviewsto impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support and development.” K-State engineering has a SHPE student chapter.

American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES)

Founded in 1977, AISES’s mission is ”focused on substantially increasing the representation of American Indians Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, First Nations and other indigenous peoples of North America in STEM Careers.” K-State engineering has an AISES student chapter.

Society of Women Engineers

The SWE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to those who identify as a female/woman and are studying baccalaureate or graduate programs in preparation for careers in engineering and computer science. SWE provides one application for sophomores through graduate students and one application for freshmen. Applicants complete an application and are considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.
